yeh i was thinking again......how bout a different rating instead of "intermediate" i think for people like shripman12 for instance hes won 4500 odd games yet hes intermediate???? i think this is deceptive to new players playing against someone like him.....they will be playing thinking "hes ranked badly i can win" yet hes a legend and will end up thumping them. i think someone with that many wins under their belt should be rewarded with a "veteran" ranking and when it comes to the time of 10000 wins (or another milestone) they should be awarded a "guru" title. this way guests and new users will be playing them knowing they are a great player. just so the old "rhino's" of funkypool get recognistion for their years of practise.

i reckon you should have an experiance level for how many you've won:

Guru: 5000 wins +
Master: 4000 wins
Veteran: 3000 wins
Intermediate: 2000 wins
Beginer:1000
Novice: 500 or less


the levels and amounts of wins could be alterred obviously but i think it would help the newbies out a little.....so they know if they are in over their heads......we dont want to frighten them all off.

I'm not sure how this would sit alongside the ranking system.

Basically, if players are ranked correctly (as they will be eventually) then the ranking and the associated grade should indicate how good they are.

Players who have not played for a long time eg shripman12 may come back, but he also may come back as another user which would cause a similar problem.

Right now the players with the most wins are honoured in the top win ranking page.
