Does anyone know of any good text editors. I have tried bluej, netbeans and crimson editor, but I ain't really comfortable with any of them. If you do have any it would be much appreciated.

it depends on the language you wish to learn.

dreamweaver has good syntax hightlighting for all the languages you require.

I use dreamweaver or PN (Progrmmers notepad). There are some far better ones out there, but these are my preferences.

for this, he only needs java. Bluej i use, but other java ide's include eclipse and netbeans etc.
