We have received a couple of reports that the game freezes (eg the animation does not show the balls moving). However you are still able to use the chat features.

We are trying to learn more about this problem, so if you have a problem please report the following and add to this thread.

Version numbers can be found by opening the game and pressing options.

- funkypool version:
- java version:
- how long were you using the funkypool game for before the game froze:
- any other problems that happened for you:

I was in the afterhours tourny, and my game froze. :(
Then it showed that my opponent won 2-0. My funkypool version is 1.42_p5, and my java version is 1.5.0. My games have been freezing a lot lately. It starts after playing about 5 or so games. It forces me to reboot because only the chat features work. Did you guys ever find out what's causing the game to freeze?

Sturryboy mentioned that the game froze with the cue present. Can you tell me if this happened for you?

OK I had a long chat pool_shark, just going to summarize here in case other people are getting this problem:

Every 30 minutes or so, on his shot, he tries to take a shot. It shows the cue but is unable to connect with the white ball. This can happen multiple times. This is before the shot timer expires.

I will look into this, if this happens to anyone else please add a post.

misleadyouth, did you upgrade your Java version recently?

Sounds like you have got Java v1.5 (also called Java 5.0). This can take a while to load up. (To check Java version click the options button on the bottom right of the game)

If you are only on a 56k connection the funkypool game should load in under 20 seconds.

Actually a lot of new versions have been put up recently. The first time you play a new version it downloads it (taking about 20 seconds for people on dial up), on subsequent visits to the page the game is usually already cached (still on your machine) and will take 2 seconds or so.

Yes, everyone in the world has XP nowdays. Let's use the confused smiley cause I'm really confused as to while you haven't got XP, I mean everyone has.. literally.

Yeah same thing with runescape, when they update it with new stuff a new version is put on and takes alot longer to load up for the first time again.
