I wanna take a moment to appreciate the admins. I said a few things recently on forums, that went against the status quo, yet they didn't mute, nor ban me.

So it got me thinking. They're letting people speak... They must be normal dudes trying their best.... That's the only explanation, or else I'd have been easily silenced.

When I think about it logically, if they're reading all the non-stop fights, then they'd want to mute people to stop those, because new players walking into the middle of constant WW3 wouldn't stay. So even if I personally don't mind any of the chatroom fights, maybe it'd turn new folks off staying.

My view historically was people should never be muted by a 'higher up', simply let people ignore each other. But now that I think about it deeper, that's all well and good for existing players, but if a new player walks into a cesspit, they'd be unlikely to stay.

So although I now get what's happening, I think maybe a 3 day mute or something would be far more reasonable? Rather than weeks or months? isn't this fair? meeting half way?

Anyway... I admit now I was wrong for assuming the worst in the admins. I never took the time to think about their point of view. I was thinking of them more like a corrupt government, rather than as dudes who wanted the best for the site.

In summary, I now get why peeps get muted, but please make the punishment 24-48 hours or something, let's be reasonable.
