How does everyone feel about having an option whilst creating a ranked game to make it say a first to 5? So you and your opponent have to play them games or you will loose your points?
There would be a lot of negatives to this and positives but the major point being if you don't wish to join that game you don't have.
What's everyone's views on this?

This isnt a bad idea, I like it! Like you said if they dont want to play 1st to 5 then they dont join

I think this is also a great idea, and while we are discussing that, how about the option to choose figure to reach in straight?

So instead of it being first to 35, you can set it to 20, 35 50, 100 etc?

What happens if say after selecting best of 9 for example and the player has to leave due to an emergency should they have to forfeit their points due to something beyond their control?
Why don't people just when they create a room stipulate on the title their preference, job done. Anyone who doesn't adhere to it, then simply don't play them again....simples.

As for choosing the end of straight 35 should be the minimum but bring in extended versions say 50, 65, 80, 100 etc. As after reaching run of 25 opponent usually leaves the room or switches off or blames connection lag issues lol.

The player loses one rack's worth of points, the same as you would do in a tournament if the same happened.

I would love to see this sort of thing - but without any option to pick your opponent. That way the ranking points available could be at the full tournament weighting as the playing conditions would be largely identical for both.
