And the fact that clan members are practically the only ones using the site now (bar a few stalwarts). So effectively, we're keeping the site alive (as alive as it can be atm anyway). You take away clans, there wouldn't be half as many people on here playing!

In a straight tournament. And how some of these cuts can be made. you could have the have the black on its black spot and still pot it in a corner pocket with the cue ball touching tbh. Thats how bad it is. I think the angle's of this game really need to be checked...

I think the biggest problem with stats is they do actually portray your ability, yes they can be manipulated to an extent , but as a whole they work. This is the problem tho, as many on here think they are better than there stats so they reset or create a new account, but guess what? They end up with the same ranking, so they reset, and it goes on.

If we are going by your theory, there are a few key points you are unaware of. The actual ranking system itself has been modified and altered greatly over the years. Years back tournaments were unranked and there was more of a weighting on standard games, therefore people were able to select who they wanted to play against. Today, to get up serious rank you need to play in tournaments which are ranked but with added multipliers so you win more, but also risk losing a lot when you play.

With that in mind...



It is a possibility that this could be the case, however their perceptoin of rank is misguided by the old ranking system underlying the current one in use. Using myself as an example, I reached 880's on the old ranking system but about 30 ranking points lower on this one.

I get the impression you are blaming the players for resetting as the reason for the 'scurge of funkypool'. I however believe that some of the changes to the site has lead to this.

I think you all need to lighten up.....It's only an online pool game...

It's much more than just an online game to some people, as you can probably tell!!

Without the ability to reset there would be less people on the site I am fairly certain on that. People do it for challenges, for example, to see how high a rank they can get while on newbie status (I did this a long time ago and reached 920 newbie on here)

Another thing with resetters is that you can go into the events on their profile and see their previous stats. Yes it can be done for new accounts but that can't be stopped.

One thing I would like to point out with rank though is that I do believe the maximum rank tables need to be reset as when the ranking system changed and it was weighted to tournaments, it has made it much harder to get to the top of them leaderboards (on this system no one will come close to the 8UK rank of onua as an example). The only exception to this is killer as this was not affected due to having no tournaments and the arcade games as they came along after the ranking change I believe??
