stats, to qualify for stat board, the game room must contain at least 10 people above 800. This doesn't have to be limited to Saturday nights but doubt that many will be together unless arranged in this format.

i still think it should be 770, with 800 plus getting right of way if more than 15 players show! <- this would be what we call a "win win" scenario :P plus those players that got pushe aside would go on a hellbent mission to reach that 800 spot so they get their "get in to pro killer free card" the week after ;)

Also a brilliant idea pete, trouble is, i dont think ive ever seen more than 4 virts at once

That's the beauty of this comp, if say and 860 wins that will push them right on the verge, while the 900 only loses say 6 points max so possibly staying virt!

But yh i like ur idea, 800's being given first choice but if we have spaces then we can let those 780's in but no lower! 770 is quite low, few more points from me n scott and thats 200 points behind us, im pushing it out at 780, but obviously would rather all pros n virts, i only got 11 points for this 1 mainly cuz we were missing scott7a and dvz

I think 780 is reasonable too, an you put forward a good argument to which i cant put anything to justify otherwise, only reason i chose 770 is because i think that 30 rank below pro would be around the limit where, if they won, they would finish the game as a pro if that makes sense. But yes even when raising it to 780, this opens up a much bigger base of players that are eligable and would/should be sufficient to keep a 15 man going every week.

Technically your not even a Pro anymore after a reset so you have no rank so should not be in it

Killer is the only real fun i get the now when playing so i might actually try and reach say the 780 mark again (if it goes ahead like that) as i would play as time suites my times anyway

_redherring_ to support the 780 rather than 800 arguement, As i write this there are currently 28 pro+ players, of which at least 2 are highly inactive (1 month or longer), take into account the number of the remaining players that are only on once every 4 or 5 days, and this brings the total down to around the 20-22 mark. this would mean that 3 quaters of these players must:-

Be online at the designated time
Know about the event (lots of players dont check inboxes)
be willing to participate against some of the very best on the baize
Have the hour or so free ( 3 turned down an invite last time round due to not having the time)


Now, given these circumstances, including the fact that a saturday evening is a very popular night to go out and have a skin full rather than sit in on a virtual pool game. How many do you think we will get consistently?


However, adjust the ranking down to 780+ and this generates i believe just over double the amount of possible competitors which would give you a much higher chance of 15 man games on a frequent basis.

I think we should do this regularly on a saturday and sunday with however many pro's there are one around 9pm! Gives players a choice of days or both if they wish!
