Push out
The player who plays immediately after a legal break may play a push out. In a push out, the cue ball is not required to make any contact with a ball or rail. The player must announce their intention of playing a push out by pressing the white hand icon underneath the cue ball spin control.

Following a legal push out, the incoming player is allowed to play from that position or to pass the shot back to the player that played the push shot. Again they need to choose this by clicking the blue arrow icon underneath the cue ball spin control image. Potting the 9 ball on a push shot will lead to the 9 ball being respotted.
