The table needs to be more like an english pool table. You need the cushions to come inwards a little so there are actual pockets to aim for instead of just gaping holes.

Also maybe you could look into different rule formats. I play in a pool league in Southend and play different rules. It would be good to play them on this game as I think there's not that much wrong apart from the 2 things mentioned above.

Thanks

Andrew.

Old rules:
2 shots carry.
You don't have to hit a cushion.
If you pot your colour but then the other colour, it's a foul.
If you pot off the break, that's the colour you play on with.

New rules:
1 free shot, after that you only get 1.
Unless you pot, you HAVE to hit a cushion on every shot.
If you pot your colour and the other colour, it's still legal.
If you pot off the break, the table's still open until someone pots.
If you break and a yellow and the white go in, it's still open until you pot on your second shot.
Also, you have to hit the ball you're going for first and make sure it hits the cushion otherwise if you hit the white off the cushion and onto your ball, the white then has to hit a cushion afterwards otherwise it'll be deemed as a foul shot.

These rules make this game much more exciting and it means you can't play stupid snookers by rolling up to the ball, otherwise you might as well be playing snooker, not pool.

1 free shot then after that you only get 1, not 2.

I just think the game's too easy as it is and needs to be different. especially the middle pockets as you can't play a shot along the cushion without the white going in-off, which is ridiculous.

I do agree m8, uk is too easy for sure, but it's been mentioned before about changing the pockets and most people were against it

I like the new rules as well but again not sure many people would want them changing either. If they were to be changed tratter would be stuffed!!

my personal opinion is that i prefer the US pockets, harder to pot, can't play for middle using cushions. UK makes positioning too lazy in my view. The US pockets you have to get positioning just right.

from the game mode point of view i like the difference between the two tables otherwise you may as well take either US or UK away as it would be the same.

for the inoff problem, i know it sounds crazy but try Carom on Snooker because soon as you work out the points and the angles etc you would have to be on an off day or unlucky to pot the white as you can work out angles just from playing Carom. works when your snookered as well

basically, he would like to see international black ball rules introduced.

However this is basically us8 other then the exception of the skill shot rule missing.

Also this would solve your problem with the cusions mate
Only other difference is stripes and solids as opposed to red/yellow

This is a massive hate of mine on this site...The table definitely needs changing as it doesn't resemble a current UK eight ball table in the slightest, dimensions of balls are wrong, table size is wrong, pocket sizes and positions are wrong. But what you are talking about with the rules;

The 'New Rules' which are the main set of rules for UK 8 Ball (standardised world rules - http://www.epa.org.uk/wrules.php) would be impossible to code (I think) as the game would have to recognise complete and partial snookers.

Rules you are talking about, as herring said are International Blackball rules which are also fairly new and are becoming a lot more popular -(http://www.sfbilliards.com/black_ball_rules.pdf). Think this would again be impossible to code (correct me if I am wrong) because of the snooker issue.

As far as I can tell, the current rules on here are an odd amalgamation of various sets of rules that I have come across, but yes it would be great if the table could undergo a redesign
