Would it be possible to put an option on straight where you can choose between say 30 balls 40 balls 50 etc, me and a friend were discussing having a first to 100 game of straight and it got me thinking.

would be good only for friendly games as the rankings would be flawed otherwise, goes back to my idea about permissions of the game room.

In this case you could choose first to (in a single rack)...

20 (Speed)
35 (Normal)
50 (Marathon)
75 (Extreme)
100 (Insane)

Fuzzy also posted something like that but for carom on snooker where you can change points from 5 to 25 points again must be done in a friendly room.

Same for First to (in frames) in all game types...

they could also make the straight tournaments semies race to 50 and final to 75 or so, and just triple the points....?

nah as the rank system would have to be changed unless nick can do it like killer but 1 vs 1 style rank where you would get more rank if you choose first to 100 than 50.
