Its about time we all came together to push for a shared common goal. I'm calling all orig, power, killer and carom players....
No longer should we have to sit in an empty room bored waiting for a seemingly never coming opponent! There is an answer:-
Practice high break tables... its that simple, something to help pass the time while your waiting...
Yes I know ppl will be knocking the balls over the pockets and ill be clearing the blue and green off there spots in power before attempting a 250. I also know there be 100x 147's a day in most modes... but who cares? its got to beat sitting doing nothing?
The carom game is already programmed and running, all it needs is a tweak to show the points totalling and to not reset the balls when a player joins... For those that hadn't realised if your on a good run you can move from the game room to a chat room and your see your shots have been tallied
It's got to be a big improvement to the site? It will encourage ppl to make rooms rather than join arcade games, it should help the other modes to be more popular and it will help ppl practice and improve...
All in favour shows some support! those that arn't ... be kind

Pools Version:
Normal Modes - Golden Breaks and Runouts
Straight (needs its own practice mode) - 30, 60+ recorded
Reason i say Straight should have its own mode is because i get bored switching from US to Straight, Also when waiting for Straight its US practice not Straight.
I also think we need a pass shot option on pool, as someone could fluke a safety from a foul but you would gain advantage.
thoughts?

I don't like how practice runs (carom on snooker) are recorded. I know it takes the same skill set regardless of whether you're playing an opponent or not, but records must be achieved in a game to count!
I think mooney's 24 run detracts from the real record on snooker. destiny has the greatest run, BUUUT fuzzy and mooney have made higher runs. Don't like it. Maybe have an option to practice for yourself, but not announced.

Only thing i liked mentioned there is the pass shot option to be honest. Then again as it is from a foul you can place the white where you want so it is pointless?

nope as ive had it before where ive had ball in hand and still at a disadvantage.
example, you both have 1 ball left opponent flukes a safety and both balls stick together, and he fouls, how is it an advantage to you as 99/100 your bound to leave a pot.

Depends where the balls are situated and potentially what game type you are in as UK and if im not mistaken Straight also only allow you to place white behind the line. If it is any game type though and if you have a good tactical mind then it should not faze you in the slightest, i tend to role up to the ball and just tap it and try and graze a cushion so it is not a foul, or if a double is on then i may try for that to

i mean US mostly, and thats what i mean, some of us hasn't got a perfect mouse for example, i can't judge rollups too well, least with this option it can put your mind at rest as if you want to use it you can, if not you don't

The game wasn't designed to suite people and their mouse's though, your problem if you have a knackered wasted mouse not the games.
15:01 Sun 22 Jul 12 (BST) [Link] Well no. In 8US, you can put it anywhere, so you're fine.
In 8UK, you have two shots- so use one to split them.
In straight, if there is absolutely no shot on, just pot the cue ball! Your opponent will have to split them first to avoid getting the -20 points.
But this has detracted from your main idea lol. You should put one idea per thread.

yeah but i don't see why i should have to be punished for it though, opponent fouling should always be an advantage to you not a disadvantage, if you feel that its an advantage you take shot, disadvantage you pass, simple really

It is all part of the game, here and real life.

true we all know practice runs doesn't mean as much as actual gameplay as your not under pressure but sitting around bored in a Straight room practising US isn't great either

Practice mode is fine- but don't have it recorded on your stats.
