Google Chrome running slowly

Google Chrome started running very slowly for me a couple of weeks ago, i cleared the cookies and other histories and it went back to normal.
It has starting being slow and taking a minute to get on to a web page, I did what i did before but it made no difference. I also did a virus check and its clean before anyone says that :)
Any advice?

Do you have any add-ons running? Can slow it down quite a bit
Also, because you have done a virus check doesn't mean that you have no virus' on your computer. There could be some FUD (fully undetectable) ones on there. Have you downloaded anything recently? Used any torrents for movies etc?
I recommend getting CCleaner if you haven't already. Speeds up my system every time I use it. http://download.piriform.com/ccsetup320.exe
Is it just google chrome running slowly too? Have you tried other browsers such as Firefox and Opera?
If these are also running slowly it's likely to be your internet speeds. Either your ISP has capped your speeds or you're not getting what you've paid for

yeah i tried firefox and delete the caches and other stuff and thats running normally.

Google Chrome is running very slowly for me aswell, a couple of days ago my pc was infected i had about 15-25 viruses, i sorted all that now tho but google chrome is running slow and i cant go on youtube or play games, it says plug in has crashed i reload, says it again, iv tried everything, i must of un-installed and re-installed flash about 6 times now and still no luck, any suggestions please? x

Is it saying that your flash plugin has crashed?
Google chrome has flash installed with it, so un-installing it and re-installing flash won't do anything for it.

Format your pc lewie and reinstall windows, that will teach ya for looking at dodgy sites
Personally I use Firefox 14.0.1 with java upgraded to latest version, 5 mins ago.......
