Was just playing my good friend dextr in the 8US tournament final it was 2 - 2 and my break on the final frame, i broke off and landed a golden break with the white in the middle of the table but game said i fouled and dextr won the tournament!

The white was still on the table after the black had gone in and all balls stopped, so what rule did i commit because i have no idea.

Not losing the tournament that annoy's me but when i lose 5 or 6 points on a frame i shouldn't have thats the annoying thing.

It all happened so fast and i watched the black go down and admit never seen where the cue ball went but said haha trust him to GB me after he also 7 balled twice and i was leading 1-0 at the start (norm for us) but to me it did seem that he had won 3-2 via a GB.

Depending how the stripes land they could look like a white, bit harsh if you golden break with white going in you lose should be a re rack in my opinion

ul jay if the white did drop, harsh way to lose but it goes with territory unfortunately.

@ liam if you golden break in real life except for 9 ball you normally lose so i think its fine as it is

White did not dropped i watch it the whole way as i know with that break there is always a chance of potting white!

Rules are different for real life pool i think, depends what country rules you play haha

if white didn't drop then you were screwed plain and simple, i know your not one for whinging and crying though and im sure you get those points back easily.

i think its a bug what rarely happens (like rocketballs before it got fixed ), shame you lost that way though.

By the way, no re-rack in 8US, or 8UK in real life.

Could be that 3 balls have to hit the cushion still Jay. Know that in killer if you pot and 3 don't hit it's still a foul so might well be that.

Are you sure it wasnt dextrs break. If he didnt take his shot and no one noticed it would look like you were breaking.

Huh? This is impossible, as can be seen by looking any game; one player breaks, and the other player cannot break. This is unless you mean that it was his shot, he timed out, and the shot went to the opponent, but I believe that would have been a random shot penalty.

bluenose1872, when you scrolled up after the foul, what reason was given for the foul?

Clooneman yes thats what I mean. If dextr randomed or fouled so that the ball just moved a bit forward the pack would still be intact and bluenose could place the ball like he was breaking. So it would look like bluenose was breaking when he wasnt, and a golden break would be a foul on the black.

No it was actually my break haha and clooneman it was 6 days ago i cant remember what it said all i know was the white didnt go in and im sure the rule about 3 balls hitting the cushion is ruled out when it is a golden break.
