Though I haven't seen anything specific for the latest Java version, McAfee is notorious for compatibility issues in general.

I would reccomend moving to a better quality Antivirus such as AVG or Security Essentials, both avaliable free.

We used to use the above on our computer, until about a year and a half ago when we caught a mean virus, and they wanted even more money to fix it. Changed to another one (that I'm apparently not allowed to name) and now anytime we do catch one they fix it for free, part of the subscription.(which definately is not free)

I had mcafee on my old acer computer, it seemed okay but i only had the computer for just over a year and then it broke. I was told the motherboard had gone and it would cost to much to repair, seemed very weird considering it was only a year old.

Use AVG, it's probably the best out there! And it's user friendly! Can easily navigate through it and also off the subject if you got a smartphone download AVG free on that aswell, just to make sure it's safe (Phone banking and all that stuff)

See I don't use them as I can protect my own PC and it's more fun finding/Removing yourself if/when you do get something

But Mcafee, has always being a pain when it comes to other programs I used to find it would block certain stuff for no aparant reason.

Also if youwant to get a AV that you pay for NOD32 is pretty impressive and does a really good job and once again the security level on it is immense, but with any Antivirus there are people out there just creating things to get through it so it's not always the Manufacturers fault if something gets through as themselfs need to find it before they can make a fix so it can be stoped etc.
