Why is it that when I won the uk friendly tournament it didnt get marked down on my profile? Personally I think it should count.

The friendly tournaments are basically friendly games in a tournament structure, a good practice and a tournament for the newcomers to participate.
If you get any credit from winning a friendly tournament then it shouldn't be a friendly.
I do understand that you may have not thought about it before you entered the tournament but this is one of the reasons the tournament details are there to read and then you can decide weather to enter or not.
