I know this will probably promote alot of stat resetting but...
My idea is a way of resetting just one stat, for example re-setting 8 ball completely but leaving the other stats the same, so you only have newbie again back in 8 ball.
Perhaps a restriction would help like:
Only non-newbie's can re-set one stat (this will mean that when someone re-sets they have to get that stat off of newbie to be able to re-set another individual stat)
Just an idea, any views on this?

asked for this six months ago - I like the idea but I guess it will upset some opponents if u reset - get past newbie period and then take some big points off some players....

There has been numerous threads on this subject before and on all occasions there has been a lot of criticism about it, if you choose to reset then you have to agree to the circumstances, that being you reset all and lose everything.

I also believe your previous stats should be on your profile to give you a true reflection of a persons ability.

i did mention a stat called reset but wasn't very popular.
maybe change the maximum rank to your highest ever rank (through all resets) but this negates the theory of resetting all game types.

People forget the reason the reset function was added was to stop people deactivating, not so people can change their stats or reset parts to how they want them to be.

Is the correct answer.
People can try to achieve "perfect stats" should they so wish but they will have to start from the same point as new accounts.

As eemad said, the reset feature was added so people who wanted to restart could do so without having to deactivte then start a new account. It helps keep the forums tidy and maintains a history so people can see if the player they play has reset their account.

Only if the reset is recent though Spinner, how about a stat on the profile by age location etc saying "Times reset : 3" << Example.

6 month I believe as it goes under the events tab which show for 6 month.

Seems on this thread and the other you created you clearly have either missed the point or just simply choosing to ignore it. The reset function is not linked to gaining better stats (contrary to what peoples perception of the use of the reset function)
This well never happen and quite rightly.
