Simple - is there a difference between a friendly game and a ranked game as far as network connection go?
I ask as I can play friendly games without any disconnection / timout issues ( for 10 mins or 4 hours) but if I play a ranked game for often or not I receive a timeout and I lose the match e.g.
9 Ball Pool Ranked - _poolshark_ (2) loses to chaulkmeup (2) (by default, _poolshark_ left the game)
RANKINGS: chaulkmeup 895.6 (+3.4), _poolshark_ 880.8 (-3.3)

I can't see there being any difference .... What type of game you're playing has no effect on your network connection I wouldn't think ?

It's more likely to be an internet connection problem from your side. And I'd say it is probably nothing more than coincidence as to when it happens

^^ Dead right.
You connect when you launch the game window, and what happens while connected makes no difference.

It does sound strange but as mentioned, I can play any game as a friendly, for any amount of time, never any issues but I can then play a ranked game and guess what - timeout occurs...

What you do in game of course makes a difference in terms of network traffic, but there should not be any principal difference between playing ranked vs. friendly games anyway.
In fact, nothing what so ever here on funkypool produces much network load at all.
