I have seen a thread on snooker about missing "impossible" shots and this is kinda similar...

Was taking a shot on straight before and had it all lined up (no spin) and took the shot to which the ball went in the opposite direction with left hand side on it (I know this because of the bounce off the cushion) however it wasn't where I had aimed and I had no spin nor was there any spin showwing on the little white ball in the corner.

Any suggestions of what could have happened? :S

I do have the ghost ball on but it doesn't mean the balls should go spooky.

I had this once mate playing midgett in 8 Ball tournament im sure, i was snookered by his ball and i was on black, the black ball was just over the bottom left pocket, i put no spin on it or anything, half power and i hit it, white came off cushion in to the black, black went in and white went straight in the same pocket was very weird both of us could not believe it

The first post seems like a glitch. I've seen flawless' complaint before. I couldn't be sure of exactly what happened without seeing, But. If a ball is laying deep in a pocket and you shoot at it rail first with no spin, it is entirely possible to scratch. The reason is the pockets are so big. If you hit the ball a bit to the left or the right then the tagent line takes you into one side of the pocket and object ball into the other side of the pocket. Basically there's enough room to have two balls go into the same pocket at the same time so both the object ball and the cueball end up going. You won't see it so much on snooker because of the round edged pockets. But it happens even in real life pool.

The worst experience I had was when my opponent was clearly snookered, he/she took the shot as normal and potted it.

Thing that spooked me was that he/she was most clearly snookered.

Very strange, maybe a glitch.

i know this isnt in game but comes under same topic, lately its said like last post in Untouchables thread 2 hours ago, i posted since then, problem was fixed when i refreshed 30 mins later, it also said i was in this tournie room (for 30 mins) when i was playing ranked and my mates said it was my machine.

weird stuff.

UT thread said the last post was 2 hours ago but dgen had posted since 2 hours previous

His profile said he was in a tournament game, when he was playing rank yet his friend said that his profile said he was in the ranked game

I had similar thing to that ^.

I pm'd an opponent and 30 seconds later he logged out without a reply, i checked his profile and it said he had been offline 20 minutes. I then checked his results as we had both been in the tourny and he had results saying 5 mins ago.


And then had the crazy random multi-discipline tourny where seemingly everyone in the first round got 2 first round invites to play 2 different opponents - and also the tourny page had muddled up the BYE's and the matches

(normally at the top of each round are BYE-DQ's for people offline, then all the games, then the BYE's for people without an opponent)

I think this goes under strange happenings lol... in an 8 ball match, my opponent broke pretty softly and only about 3 balls touched the cushion, but then just as the balls were stopping moving 2 balls from the pack that hadn't moved an inch shot out of the pack and around the table... I was like huh?

The fix for the glitch is as follows:

OIIIII no need for that but it happened on a custom computer created by my brother... And it's to highest spec available

Cost 1200 quid lol... so dont go saying that to me or i'll cry

omg got 1 about 20 mins ago in clan game with qpounder....
played smelly snook and ball hit cushion only for foul to be given ......but hey just get on with it

I was just in the UK tourney , my opponent logged out as i was potting the black, then the game seemed to freeze , no notification came up saying id won, no new game started i had to sit there and wait for a time out or leave , when i did try to leave i got a message saying a new game has just started if you leave now you will lose , so i had to log out , iv had this happen once before, anyone have any ideas why the game did that ?

Another confusing one - unless im missing something the 13:00 + 14:00 tournys have disappeared

It just goes 12:00 (in play now) and 15:00 (coming up)

Probably related to the update scheduled for today
