I have looked in to this on the forum and it has been mentioned before so thought i would bring it up again, i know that its just another pointless new thread about it, but there is so many if you search them and i thought one more wouldn't hurt haha

I think ranked Mini Golf would be a very good idea to have this as it is a part of funkypool and all other games are ranking games so why cant Mini Golf be one too, I mean Mini Golf Tournaments would be absolutly stupid but rank games would - snooker has Carom ranked and thats just as technical as Mini Golf is.

We all know who would be number one though.....

I think Mini Golf should be left as it is, a fun game.

Quite a lot of people also said that on the last thread and that they viewed it as a bit of fun and something to relax.

It different to carom though, as players are completely unaffected by hots opponents make (e.g. in every other game type if your opponent plays safeties, you should try to play slower or risk giving a lot of fouls away)

So the ranking system would have to be based on something completely different to the other type i think

such as you're ranking increasing or decreasing based on the score you get
e.g. a low rank getting 15 would increase points and getting 25 would decrease
and a high rank needing a 10 to increase rank and 15 decreases their rank

just example numbers but i think without some system like that ^ then you would end up with a heck of a lot of people 950+

Was also thinking that it wouldn't be very competitive towards the top half of the ranking table as there are only a handful of players who get regular 9's, so there would inevitably be little or no change at the top

cant we make it like any other disipline then and let people have a choice whether they want friendly or ranked and how many people, i personally wouldnt play it but other people might like this option

Yeah but all's they do is make the room public, then when they miss a shot find the room and click play, means they dont have to waste time finishing all 9 holes and makes it seem like they almost always get 9's, if the games were ranked then they would lose points for leaving and would be forced to play more to increase rank (their is no abandoned games stat in minigolf)

You could say a lot of the people at the top stay the same in the other game types, just they're more popular so new players often work themselves into the top 50

no one can get 9's every game but I think most people that can do a 9 would expect to get 10, 11 or 12 max if they did finish every game so would still be hard to beat, if it became ranked theres some very good players that people would avoid meaning the better players wouldn't top the rank table, I think minigolf is a fun game and should stay that way, I wouldn't want to see it ranked.

My best score to date is still 10.

Thats from holes 2-9 where all 1's whilst i got a 2 in the first hole.

I was gutted but i got over it.

I would hate to see this disciple get turned into rank. Simply because their will be to many complaints over stupid petty misses.

I think that they should just leave Mini-Golf as it is.

It's fun and the only disciple within the whole 3 sites.
(funkypool.com, funkysnooker.com, killerpool.com), That you can actually play by yourself without it being on a practice table.

Carom is like 9 ball and Arcade snooker compared to mini-golf as there are obstacles blocking your way and it's nearly impossible to get "9" in every game as ab_rfc said previously.
