When I open up the game - it's saying that my java is not installed but i visit the java site and tells me the latest version is downloaded and installed. I also looked at java FAQ's on here and look at the java advanced settings to make sure it was enabled on the browser and it was but the game window stil says java is not installed.
Any ideas?

Are you able to load java from other sites than funkypool? Try to google java online games or similar and give it a shot....
Also try to the java test in the help section here on funky...
After that, uninstall java and reinstall it I guess.
After that, ask spinner - he is the resident expert on java issues

Also try this:
Firefox Users only i think;
type "about:config" (without ") in to your URL address bar;
A message will appear saying "Here be Dragons!";
Just click the button that says; "I'll be carefull, I promise!";
At the top it says "Filter:"
Just type java into that;
and make sure these statements are correct;

Best thing to do;
Remove any installation of Java from your computer;
Through Add or Remove in Control Panel;
Reset your computer;
Visit: http://java.com/download.php
Download a clean installation.
Install and reboot.

I know you said you'd been there, but most importent in these cases is the clearning of browser histories including downloaded program files.
It can also be worth trying rollng back to an older version of java such as the very stable 6.12 linked to in JackBauer's post above.
So, summarise :
- uninstall *all* instances of Java via control panel (there can be many)
- Clear all histories and downloaded program files etc
- reboot, even if you're not told to
- Run a windows update (and a latest version check if you're running firefox)
- Visit either java.com or the archive link to try a fresh install.

Hmmm you missed something spinner,
A disk cleanup would also be adviced as to remove .dump files created through the javac cache folders.

Not missed, just not necessary at this stage. Never advisable to suggest users start deleting temporary, or any files, for that matter, unless everything else has been tried

I wouldn't advice a system restore only in EXTREME circumstanes,
Maybe Re-Installing your operating system or system repair would help.
What operating system are you running by the way?

Why would you not advise a system restore?
System restore operations are completely reverseable and can be great for finding the cause of niggling issues like this.
Reinstalling an OS because a java game wont run is akin to buying a new car because your winscreen washer bottle is empty

System restore is probably the best thing ever! Finds the source for so many problems and no disadvantages to it as you can reverse it as spinner said! I'd like to know where you got the idea it should only be used in extreme circumstances ub3rnator
