Hi. Twice in finals the game has froze on me so i have ended up losing. This has never happened to me at any other point playing funkypool just the two finals. Is this a common complaint or am i just really unlucky?

Unlucky i suppose. try using a different browzer see if that help's :P

onevisit, I'm sorry to hear of the problem. What you mean by frozen, did the game crash completely, leaving a solid black or white background, or did it become unresponsive?

I don't have an error report which means it could have been a Java VM crash. If you search your computer for hs_err_pid using a Windows search you might find some files detailing what happened during the crash. If you do see such a file please copy as much as you can into here.

In any case please ensure you have the latest Java from http://java.com . I've reorganised the code with aims to improve reliability - this did cause some temporary problems which I believe all to be resolved.

another 2 questions for nick.

1) how come your only allowed to write 4 pages of messages

2) how come 7 ballers arent annouced.

I think because 7 ballers are so frequent, and I want to know why when someone leaves in ANY game why cant you carry on?

Cost me a fair few runouts and 7 ballers!

1) if you mean the limit on forum and offline messages it is due to possible spamming that people may do.

2) as mich said it's the frequency of seven balls - there'd be a lot more of them than all the other announcements put together!

mich, actually the recent code reorganisation means it would be a lot easier to add break continue functionality. In any case it would work like snooker and straight pool - in that games would continue unless in a tournament.

Sounds like a good idea to me, and would be welcomed by all in my opinion if you could carry games on.

i use to like the carry on when someone leaves in snooker tournaments, really that shouldnt have been taken out. also could put that on pool.

if they get DQ its their fault, and there are time warnings so nick please consider this as you was trying to fix something here which wasnt broken.

In last couple of days I have lost the formatting box for posting and messages. I suspect it is something to do with IE6 but is there any way of recovering them? I have tried clearing out all the cookies and temp files.
