Im buying a gift for someone and have no idea what the diffrence is between these three, or which on would be the best to buy?

Well a nintendo ds is the basic model i know that much

A ds lite has a camera and other minor accessories but the big difference is the price. Not sure about the dsi..

But I would go for the simple nintendo ds which is good value for money and just as good in my opinion

DS is the original - plays GBA and DS
DS Lite is an improvement as its smaller, lighter, etc (but costs more)
DSi is the latest (and most expensive) includes camera, browser but i dont think it plays GBA

i have an original DS from xmas 04 and its very study as im a klutz and always drop it and only thing wrong is fingermarks on screen, touch screen wont recalibrate and top screens loose (if it was anything else it wudda been completely broke years ago)

im hoping to get a DSi in the new year

The DS Lite doesn't have the camera, it's the DSi that has the camera




Game Boy Advance, essentially the system that came before the DS.

In my opinion I'd get a DS Lite, it's a big improvement on the standard DS, in terms of screen size, battery life etc, and is not all that much different to the DSi, really.

The DSi has a few extra gizmos and gadgets that aren't necessary to just play games. My sister has a DSi, I have a DS, which I don't use mind. But it has always been enough for me when I did use it.

ds lite and dsi are both great all u really need to take into account hun is will they use a camera on the dsi if not then go with ds lite just as good as dsi ive got both and i regret getting dsi cause i dont use camera lol

Haha, thanks steph, I wouldnt see the point in a camera, The ipod i got her has one in it, and she also got a camera for x mas..

just get the ds lite and buy an r4 card for it. Never need to buuy a game for it again

Talking of i=pods i bought me mum one thought i got her same as mine just diff colour its got a damn camera on it am gutted *wonders if she will swap* id use a camera on me ipod haha

the cam on the ipod nano dont take photos' just vids! and alex there alot of good sites out there. i use romulation.net

The cameras not that bad on the ipod, i think its a 3.0
