chav basically means theif, thug and follower. it's actually quite an old word with quite a few definitions, but those words appear in almost all the definitions i have seen, although i forget where i seen them

there is an antichav website with definitions there, but they made them ones up themselves, so i wouldn't trust them... :-P

why chav and not shav or crav or some other totally random word
