I am posting this in queries as I want to find out opinion / rules surrounding this idea.

Every year my pool team has a christmas cracker tournament which is 10GBP to enter.

Entries are limited to 32 participants and is played over the 3 weeks leading up to Christmas.

There are 8 groups of 4 with group winners receiving their entry fee back.

The 8 winners then proceed to the quarter finals etc etc with the eventual winner getting 75% of the remaining pot and the runner up 25%....

Is there any reason why we cant do the same on here......

32 people to put their names down with around 5/6 replacements......

Money must be paid by 3 days before tourney begins or your place is then offered to someone else.

Entry fees could be sent to a paypal account (hopefully set up by admin) with monies paid accordingly???

Group Stages Would Consist Of

2 frames 8us and 8uk

if its a draw then one frame of 9 ball is played to determine winner......

Qrtr Finals

best of 5 8uk and 8us

best of 3 9ball

Semi Finals

best of 7 8uk and 8us

best of 5 9ball

Final

best of 9 8uk and 8us

best of 7 9 ball

Please let me know your thoughts??

I dont see anything wrong with the idea, personally i wouldnt enter beacuse i don't gamble much but if enough want to coolio.

I would like to see something special over the xmas period on here though that doesnt mean throwing your money away

still £10 entry fee, however the money goes to a charity of the winners choice and the group winners get amazon vouchers and the winner and runner up also get amazon vouchers

Feel free to host a tournament, but as already stated we do not allow the organisation of gambling on the forums.

Prize tournaments may come in time, but will almost certainly now be on killerpool.com as opposed to here.

gandi why not just make a xmas one now for fun instead as we know you can do that and this is never gonna happen for understandable reasons which i agree with. Its the 1st today which is ample time to start one.
