I had a game of ranked 8 ball us the other week and won and my ranking after the game was 801.7

but then i came on the next day an noticed my ranking had been shortened to 801.3 an wondered what the hell!

i don't know about anyone else but ranking seems to be dropping on everyones profile but how is that possible if i (they) have not played any ranked games?

i've noticed it for a good while now an each night i come off the site my rankings are what they should be but the next morning as i come on its dropped by 0.3 and sometimes 0.4

To prevent player's simply retiring when they are top of the rankings a small amount is chopped of their ranking daily.

The rule is a 1 point drop for any user with a ranking over 925.0, a 0.8 point drop for any user with a ranking over 900.0, a 0.5 point drop for any user with a ranking over 850.0 and a 0.3 drop for users with a ranking over 800.0.

To ensure ranking drop doesn't change order of any 2 players the amount dropped for people close to the above limits is limited. An example, someone over 900.0 could only be reduced to a minimum of 899.50 (900.0 - 0.50).

There is no daily reduction on or below 800.0. That is why you will see a host of players on exactly that rank, often across multiple game types (e.g. me).

he is 801.7 therfore he aint on 800 so the deductions will happen
