while talking to _kgb797_ i was bemoaning the fact that theres no multi messaging option in the ingames system , he suggested that a tick box option for multi messaging on your friends list might be a good idea, thoughts please

haha Dave, good point.

Adam's right to want this tho, running events with a lot of players without it is a lot of work.

Made a thread about offline messaging a while back. I know it's not ingame, but it links in with running events, as captains need to copy/paste the same message many times, along with league runners.

the best way to get around this at the moment would be to go to an empty chat room, or create a game room and play killer while you talk, or winner stays on or something.

I think having an option for a multi-user PM box would be an excellent addition to the site.

Personally, I think it would run best if someone was invited by either of the two people who are having the original PM, and limit the number of people who are in the private chat to 4. If you have any more than 4, then you should be creating a game room and playing killer

I just wrote a thread regarding league forums which is semi-relevant to this topic: http://www.funkypool.com/viewTopic.do?topicid=15862

Most modern forum systems have the ability to define user groups and message entire groups at a time, or message multiple, individually selected users for each message, more like email etc. Something along those lines have been requested here on FP many many times, and although I'm sure Nick agrees it would be nice, it's not likely to float to the top of the priorities any time soon I believe.
