Hey hey. Discuss your fav horrors here
Mine would be White Noise. Very cool. Lots of jump scenes too. One downside: Extremely sad
And The Forgotten was epic. War of the Worlds remake with tom cruise, was worth watching about 15 times :P

I dont really like horrors... either bore me or make me not wanna watch, which I dont see the point if its a film
That said, I think the 1st Final Destination was quite good even though the idea's been done to death now as its onto the 4th one.
Dont like the Saw films as I think they are pointless.
Quite like the look of that new one...Sorority Row. Although admitedly it's not because of the scary bits

I'll agree with squeezy about the 1st final destination was quite good, going to have a look at the rest though.
I quite like the Saw films, the fact that it's mostly about anticipating the human mind interests me, my fav is the 5th one so far as you get to know a lot about the past of 'Jigsaw'. 6th one out in cinemas soon so looking forward to that!
The descent was only good for the jumpy scenes otherwise not the best.
I've not seen many of the latest horrors, still into classics like The Omen trilogy, The Shining, Texas Chainsaw Massacre etc etc

I love horrors, but I think nearly all recent horrors are poor to be honest they don't do anything for me... I prefer the older ones.
The first Saw was good but I'm sick of seeing sequels advertised for it, they were all just ok, and really not needed in my opinion lol.
I'm not really a massive fan of slasher movies either, more of the psychological kind or to do with the paranormal.
My top favourite is The Exorcist . The rest being:
The Shining
The Omen
Night of the Living Dead
Dawn of the Dead
Day of the Dead (slow zombies > fast zombies... end of discussion )
American Werewolf in London
Evil Dead
Hellraiser
Silence of the Lambs
The Thing (80's version)
Dog Soldiers
Event Horizon (incidentally the only decent movie Paul Anderson has ever made lol)
Silent Hill
The Gate (cheesey but I love it)
For some strange reason I also really like Bram Stoker's Dracula, but maybe it was just Keanu Reeves' accent that terrified me in that.
And finally I suppose I'll have to include Open Water. It is technically classed as horror I think, but the only horror element for me was when I came out of the cinema and realised I'd just paid to see it .

Paranormal Activity
Thought the directing was clever, as you watch the film you seem to forget "its a film". The start was a little slow, and in alot of scenes not much really happens. Some parts really freaked me out!...But thats about it, I didnt find it terribly frightening. 6/10
Haunting in Connecticut
I put my hands up! I was scared LOL! It was creepy, jumpy, and the fact it was based on a true story? urgh! 6/10 (Ps. I did literally jump! :()
