yes, nothing wrong with ideas - ask some senior members around here and they will tell you about some of my old suggestions
its just that in my opinion anyway, there are a lot more disadvantages than advantages.
While the idea of people playing on a more level playing field is a fantastic idea, I think that tournaments like this would take some of the competitive edge off it.
and as someone else said before - a 701 may have to play a 799...so i think that rank names would have to be split up into 50 point margins for this to work properly for a fairness scale -

there is two major flaws to this idea:
1. people can drop ranking points deliberately to allow them to enter a tournament of "easier" competitors
2. people who rarely play ranked matches but play loads of friendlies could be ranked at 709 and have the ability of 889. thus outclassing everybody else in the rank.
its a good idea in principle but its too hard to implement correctly to ensure fairness

I can see what you meen but, they can ONLY enter the tornaments that corrasponds with there rank so if they are below 800 and above 700 then they can ONLY enter that tornament they will not be alloud to enter the 800 to 1000 tornament or the 500 - 700 tornament therefore if they do drop there rank to below 700 and they keep winning those tornaments that that only says that they can only win that tornament, same gose for the other tornaments, i think more people will strive to reach above the 800 mark so that they can play that tornament and if they win that tornament that will also bring em pride because they've won the highest ranking tornament

yes but you seem to have missed my point. if for example I was ranked 805 and i checked who was online and saw loads of 870+ players online that have won loads of tournaments, i could go play a game against a low ranked player lose 5 or 6 rank points and play in the 700-799 tourny and i would stand a better chance of winning that than i would in the 800+ tournament.
most people just want to say that they won a tournament, regardless of the method they used to win. im not suggesting i am one of them but they do exist.
