I'm wondering if admin can answer this question.

Why do you guys allow multi using if it's against the rules?
Each user should have no more than ONE account. Any user that has more than one username, could have their secondary or higher usernames banned without warning. I understand that %99 of the people with 2 and 3 names are honest people, but that doesnt excuse it. It's in the rules. How come noone is doing anything about it?

I played someone in the 9 ball semi's that just signed up today and beat me 4-0.....Really? Wtf is that about....

maybe you just got a good whooping. Take your losses on the chin instead of assuming. A lot of players play as a guest before signing up, i know I did. or maybe they had another account and deactivated.

Why are you trying to start an argument? I was asking a question to mod/admin.

And for your information: I don't whine about losses. It's just a damn game. So please stay out of my business.

gotta agree psyco - knowing a good player like yourself, that does seem very suspicious.

Its a shame - maybe this person did not want to be bullied for resetting, so they just created another account?

or maybe it was someone who de-activated quite a while ago and changed their mind.

So its not always cheating; people might just be returning - but if you suspect anyone of cheating, then you should contact admin.

This has been raised so many times. First of all, if you have a question for admin you should use the contact us option in the help menu.

Using the forum is public, therefore open for public debate

Posting under multiple accounts on the forum will lead to any secondary or higher usernames being banned.

If you think that someone is cheating, again use the contact us option and it will be actioned appropriately

As Ace said, the mods and admin don't physically search for second accounts.

The only way it can get banned is if they get noticed (through forum posts or playing yourself to increase rank -- cheating) so no action is ordinarily taken.

However, there are many, many reasons why people would have a second account to start with:

- Players have reset, so it isn't a second account, just a newbie version of their first.

- Players have been banned, so (against the rules) they create a second to play again.

- Players have deactivated and decided they want to play again.

Those are the 3 primary reasons I know of. There are more "special" circumstances I have heard of:

- Players use different accounts for different things (one for tournies and one for ranked etc)

- Players use a second account to practice with if their game isn't up to scratch.




So there are so many variables that don't trigger off the cheating system. However, as cubs said, just take it on the chin and move on. If you are THAT bothered about a particular player, then use the "contact us" bit in the help section.

Staff do not physically check members accounts.

Currently there are 47,058 active members, so would take a considerable period of time to physically check these accounts.

There are members who use multiple accounts and are competing on both accounts in all disciplines, ranking and tournament events.

However, I have not seen any signs of misuse to attain ranking points and increase the "better" account even higher.

When members notice suspect accounts where there are signs of misuse, they more often than not inform one of the mods, or use the contact us option to report it.

The players out there know who they are and without doubt will be looking over their shoulder should any rules be broken!

Not being funny ace I totally agree with what your saying but..

That policy has always been in place but admin know that people have 2nd other accounts and they know who but they do not choose to pursue it.

I think it needs to be cracked down on one way or relaxed the other because its in limbo at the moment.

Sorry guys wont name names but when I asked a mod if I could make a 2nd account about 5 months they said in there own words. "It is against rules but we turn a blind eye".

Theres a clear contradiction between ace and jimfaebod so may I be enlightened.

As stated there, if you have any concerns over a user who may be breaking any site rule, please use the contact us system and admin will look into it.

Capped as there is nothing to debate, the rule is clear and is enforced to the letter.
