Did anyone else see the final of the Johnson's Paint Trophey at wembley on sunday afternoon?

It was between League one club Scunthorpe and League two side Luton, two football teams with not a lot to shout about. But infact it was one of the best games of football I'd ever seen!

Everything about it was just fantastic. Luton won 3-2, and i was hoping they'd win purely because they were the underdog (that comes from being a leicester fan...) 4 out of 5 goals were stunning and the other wasn't bad either.

Also, every tackle that went in was perfect, and the ref had a great game as well! Luton started the season with a record 30 point deduction, so what a great day out for the fans that would have been

Hoping against hope that Luton can win their last 6 games and survive. Never really liked Luton before, (Did anyone :s) but what Mahwinney and his chums did to them was ridiculous.

Good old British public always love an underdog and if Luton stay up this season, after winning the JPT, there's a Roy Of The Rovers style film in there

without the 30 points off they'd be mid table as well! that's FA rules though, shame really

Without deductions, Rotheram would be second and Bournemouth would be mid table as well.

Deductions are a joke really, the only people who suffer are the fans

Grats Luton, it's the least the fans deserve after their season and indeed last few seasons.

4 clubs in League Two have had points deducted, 2 of which would have been within 3 points of 2nd spot without the points deductions.

The thing is, if you don't deduct points, what can you do?

If you want to see a real joke of a league then drop one more division- the BSP is the biggest joke in football. Sunday leagues have better organisational skills than these clowns.
Half the division have been deducted points for something or other. They give points deductions out more often than Clan Gladiators get beat
Talking of BSP, Burton are so gonna blow it, just as I predicted a while back, must dig that post up soon!

The funny thing is, if those 40, 000 Luton fans had bothered to turn up for their home games every 2 or so weeks, Luton might not be in such a financial mess.

And news now that Southampton of the Championship could be deducted 10 points and dooming them to League 1 if that happens surely. Think it would be 13 points from safety with just 15 available

If Southampton get deducted, it will be next season, The FL confirmed that the other day......shame really looking at it from a selfish point of view
