Hey ive just noticed after editing a few posts on pool and snooker that it no longer says "edited by alexander at 14:00" or whatever.

It simply comes up with nothing as if it was my first post.

Not a big thing but has anyone else found this.

I think this is a negative change or erroe because lots of small problems could arise from it.

For example people who should be caught for breaking forum rules and edit without any trace.

Or just simple things like spoiling fun on fun and games.

i.e if i had to guess a song and get it right the poster above could edit there post and say they got there first.

I know its only trivia and sounds sad but could we have it back please

You can only edit like that within two minutes of posting.

Since you posted about 4 minutes ago, try editing it now and it should say the time you edited it.

There's the thread which introduced this change, wasn't that long ago actually.. It's good as it can allow you to edit mistypes etc

Yeah but you could still edit mistypes it just states you edited it no big thing is it?

Hmmmmmmm... then they'd be undoing their own misdeed, and the actual harm in what they have done – people reading something that shouldn't have been posted – is reversed. Anyway, the post would end up getting removed or edited by a moderator, so it's the same. And without the edit timestamp, they could edit their own posts to remove what they had posted. You'd see when they edited it, but not what they wrote.
