I was thinking that it would be a good idea to see who has gained the most rank and who has won the most games in 24 hours..

Like a daily mini-game?

We could be set rank to get and if we gain it we get a "trophy" reward..?

yeah, daily improvements is a good idea.

but the trophy award sounds a little corny.

I don't like the trophy idea either.

How about adapting the idea somewhat? Lately there's been lots of cheating with people playing either invented or deliberately submissive opponents. A ranking table of score changes in the past 24 or 48 hours, since midnight on the day in question or two days beforehand, would help alert the powers that be to cheaters who artificially inflate their rank.

fantastic spin on the idea. I suppose what would work best is if you ahd the 24 hour leaderboard stay on the site for three days afterwards for everyone to see.

And then of course admin should keep a log of every day's leaderboard for say 6 months if there are any reports of cheating so they can investigate.

and to add one more thing, i think this should NOT be a stat on your profile, as I think it may promote cheating just a bit more.

I was going to just say the 24 hour ranking boards but, i didn't think people would be interested in just that
