Here's a website I found that you may want to check out:

http://www.prospects.ac.uk/cms/ShowPage/Home_page/p!eLaXi

It's a graduate job website, so you'd need some school. But it might point you in the right direction.

Oh yeah, prospects, i joined up to that when i was at uni almost a year ago. Strangely did not find one job suitable on it lol. I kept putting local (Aberdeen) in search and was getting jobs up for London and Manchester and stuff. I'm not a huge fan of it lol.

At the minute you just got to apply for everything under the sun and hope you get lucky, it's a bad bad time to be unemployed. Luck is important.

Apply for jobs really is like a law of averages!

Luckily for me in my profession (when I'm fully qualified) I'll be some what of a commodity so I might have a better choice of jobs.

MMT - I finish my contract with the Uni in August, only work for them part-time as it fits in with my course and pays well. I have to say it's a lovely (ooer) place to work! Best of luck with getting a job there, if you succeed you'll have to let me know, be more than happy to show you about the place, although it's a small campus!

Cheers for the link katie but i cant afford to put myself through any full time education, i had a look and quick search and experienced similar to what col mentions.....lol

John- If you can put in a good word for me, you can show me round the campus then get drunk for free

I have actually got a family friend (who i dont really know) working where im at now who reckons he can get me in a different department in the next few weeks on £28k a year, so im definitly going to stick it out if i cant get a different job!

Im off out to Brum for a drink now but any other thoughts ill respond to in the morning! Cheers for the help so far everyone!

No mate, settled in a bit more at work now, found a couple of other things to do when my work for the day is done! The money helps with the boredom after a while

Still looking for new jobs but mainly looking specifically for a course I can do around work, maybe at college....looking to do an electrician course or plumbing....

Setting up an interview with West Nottinghamshire College who have a great prospectus of courses, bit out of my way but if i get a good course/qualification out of it around work im happy!
