Im going to get more ram for my computer as i want to play Red Alert 3 without the screen going in constant slow motion (hopefully this will solve it) and also ive heard 1gb (what i have) is the bare minimum. I have 2 quesions *slash* problems with it though.
1. Have no idea what kind i need. the laptop is a hp pavilion dv2000 if that helps.
2. One of my friends mentioned that there is a limit to the amount of ram you can install. Is this true?
I have 2x 512mb sticks installed at the moment and i was wanting to get a 2gb stick, making it 2.5 gig ram in total.
Any help would be appreciated!

I'm sorry to not really contribute to your problem, but that title is great

Well the model of the computer depends on the RAM slots they give you. Most computers have 4 slots for RAM now and it usually won't matter about the manufacturer. I'd advise you to put your largest in first.
Having 3024 GB RAM your computer will only read it as about 2.5, depending on the OS. Vista's a bit of a guzzler for it, but you should be fine, I think.
If your processor and graphics card meet the requirements for Red Alert 3 then I'm sure it's just the RAM you need updating. You should be fine, good sir.

http://www.scan.co.uk/
Normaly much cheaper than places like Maplin or PC World.
I've got 2 1gb sticks in my PC an it supports everything i've tried on it so far, not sure bout lappys but seems you've got it sorted anyways
