not sure this would be plausible for ranked games so possibley a totally pointless thread( hope not and sorry in advance).......

When creating a game you can choose shot time limit etc; but how about being able to standardise rules to locally familiar ones...eg:

choice of two shot carry on/off nominate black pocket on/off white ball on the line/anywhere behind the line etc!

This is in relation to the blackball thread and people shouting for it to change to official blackball rules: i personally would like the option of playing the exact rules i play with my mates or when i played in the county championships! (both completely different btw lol)

i have suggested it before (old account I think) but I dont think it got much support.

Times may have changed. It should never be used on ranked games, but it may be a bit more fun for friendlies and for leagues/clans.

I would support it, as long as you cant change every rule (keep basics in there)

I am always in favour of options.

The obvious counter arguments would obviously be increased complexity, something that is generally considered a bad thing, particularly for new players.

I like this idea..But obviously you must be able to see the rules before you play the game

If it's implemented for ranked games, then it wouldn't be a level playing field over the whole history of the ranking system. But for friendlies, sure why not

yeah thats why i started the post the way i did...cause it wont work ranked! so the question is...is it worth nicks trouble to implement this just for friendlies! I think not! I just hate 2 shot carry!

to be completely honest....its just as annoying when i get 2 shot carry! its just too easy! If i had 2 shot carry in real life id clear up 9 out of 10 times!

1: be happy that you win

2: you would be surprised how often two shot can bite you where you dont like it (thats how we play here in Aus)

Same here in england.

Only rules that the 2 shots do not carry is bapto (fedaration) rules.
