play scratched dvd?

i have sony dvd drive with writer.
my drive does not play scratched dvd. i tried these dvds on a LG and a samsung dvd drive and they work .
is it a problem with only my sony drive or all sony drive as i can replace it .
also i found several softwares the recovers files from scratched disc ..does any of those help?

I spray deodrant on my scratched dvd's try that trust me, spray on deo and wipe with some tissue...

Plausibe the fluride in the toothpaste would reflect the ray...but deo is best option

If the disc can be read in any player at all, then don't touch it!
If you look for a firmware update for your sony drive, that may well sort your problem.
However, its a simple fact that some drives are better than others at reading certain discs, especially DVDR's.

i sprayed axe perfume on my scratched dvd that was not playing and tried it ..it worked perfectly

I put the plug in the sink get the hot tap running put bubble bath in and drown my disk in that.. so basically I'm bathing a disk haha.. so time's works sometimes doesn't it didn't work for GTA

ive used water out the tap to clean disks, it can help.
