Implicated a call pocket system - bored of losing 12 ranking to someone clearly on a second third or twentyfourth name by then whacking balls around the table and balls flying into pockets all over the shop. Call pocket.

8 ball UK - world rules state that in the case of the black pocketed from the break results in a rerack. Implement it. around 30 of my current loses are the above reasons and i'm bored of it.

Also - player brackets please. Its IMPOSSIBLE for me to get a game with anybody above 850 - they're all too scared to play anybody decent, and rather play 600 - 700 ranking players to attempt to get the highest ever ranking. This also needs fixing, no skilled players being that high is a joke.

I disagree with the 8UK Golden break. It makes me feel good when the black goes in, and is a cool way to spice up the game play.

A call pocket system has been previously mentioned already, and although I haven't been following it, I can tell you that it would basically be way too hard to implement. It is too much work for Nick (who has a life believe it or not) and there is the question on how would you call? You can't right click as people use that instead of left clicking to take a shot. But if you were to go through the proceedures BEFORE the shot, then the games would last about 20 minutes!
Calling pockets may be all fine and dandy, but for the newbie, a hit and hope may be the only way they have a CHANCE at winning the game. I'm all for supporting that tactic.

Also, the point system already compensates for a high player facing a low player. A high ranked player may win 5 games against a low ranked player, but the low ranked player only needs to win 1 game to get those points back.
Secondly, you cannot force someone to play against anybody. People will play who they want to play, not who YOU want them to play. If you don't like it, make a game room with 850+. Then the only people who will join will WANT to play poeple in that bracket.


There are sensible answers to all of your "bugs" and I cannot see even one of them changing in the near future.

I remember you saying that rank doesn't matter to you anymore!!And in my opinion a high rank doesn't make you a more decent player than someone with a lower rank who may have, lets say, spent there time playing tournament games not ranked games.

This is a forum to present ideas, to get respected replys you kinda need to do so in the right manner. Your post is not quite the right manner, possibly because you have only ever posted once.

You can query everything, hence the forums name. Next time you should do so in a way where you don't look a little bit spoilt, take a leaf out of all the threads that have been made to question what you have questioned then maybe a profitable debate will come of it.

Hey, yeah this post is not quite in the right spirit but I have felt exactly like this guy at times. He's quite right too about the bracket thing, the reason why players only play tourneys is that the ranking system is seriously flawed. If you want a game with a similar ranked player the only way is on 9 ball where everybody fancies their chances of beating anyone else.

My remedy to the flaws on certain game types is just not to play them anymore. I reckon 8 ball tourneys and 9 ball ranked is still alright at the minute.

Oh and by attacking and ganging up on this guys views none of you have done themselves any favours either

Its JUST a game

He can do what he likes it's his views that he's posted on the forum. He didn't attack anyone was jus obviously narked at the time he posted by the state of the game in certain instances. It happens all the time. He was being demanding I agree and could have rephrased things. If he is UK based he posted at 5 am so may have been steaming . It is only a game but very addictive and the attitude of some players when they beat you stinks and maybe sk was just reflecting that.

I don't see the views given above as 'ganging up.' It's been more a general feeling of irritation, expressed by many, at the ungrateful and unnecessary tone expressed. But I do agree that leaving the thread open will only result in more of the same.

Golden breaks and pocket-nominations are discussed elsewhere, and the rank-brackets idea can be discussed on the suggestions thread. This particular thread is now more a debate on the user's attitude than anything else, so capped.
