I agree with the two balls potted rule being done away with - but I like the no potting on break rule, it makes it different to the other games.
i agree with all that, i second the double potting rules, plenty of times i have potted double balls and then it just tells me it is not valid, well i think i potted them so to me they are valid

Very good idea rogan! Also i think that would be a good add on billardboy.
Although i personally dislike straight pool due to the weird rules, the more then one ball potted rule should be done away with along with the pot on break aswell

If you deliberately potted 2 balls surely it would have been as easy, if not easier to just pot 1.
If you accidentally potted the 2nd ball then it's fair the run ends. Remember it's a call shot game.

very good point nick, but my argument is an accidental potting, but i suppose there is no way of telling whether it was done accidently or deliberately, i always pot one at a time, never see the reasoning in trying to pot two at a time!

If you pot by accident, it must be a foul?.. Think of it like this, you don't deliberately pot the black in 8 ball by a foul, it's an accident.

I think the actual rules of the game are fine as they are, I'd just like to see a practise table with the straight rules in place - re-racking etc.
