How about an option that automatically enters you into a tournement if you are online. I think that would make things alot easier especially if you cannot open links...like moi.

Also, alot of people would be entered, and probably get disqualified because they didnt want to enter that one in particular... I think that could cause problems...

But I don't think it's significant enough to the game to bring in.

There's other things people would rather have introduced at the moment.

imo if ya that lazy you cant click the link that comes up to auto join then whats the point of entering.
That link even works for me and i can click nothing at all in game (except that obviously)

At the moment there's 154 players online. (I have no idea if that include those who are just browsing or consists only of those with the game window open.) 43 of those 154 are in the tournament that kicked off a few minutes ago.

Consider that all 154 were auto-entered into the tourney. You can imagine that a few of them who wouldn't have manually entered themselves might take part anyway - so increase the 43 to 60 for argument's sake. But others would have decided that they weren't taking part. So you'd have 94 players not taking part.

Round 1 would be designed to shrink 154 to 128, so when you work it out there are 76 byes. Some of the decidedly non-participant would no doubt end up in this group of players. A few more would end up getting byes in Round 2 due to a few DQ-DQ's in Round 1. Would make for an interesting looking competition.

Of course, what it would also mean is that some players who want to take part might end up playing in rounds 1 and 2 while others (who also want to take part) would get byes. So that would be a bit unfair. But you could argue that that's the luck of the draw.

What's for certain is that there would be a group of players annoyed by invites for a tournament they don't want to take part in. And if they're in a tourney, they might end up accepting the wrong invite, but they would be their carelessness.

Okay, how about having it n your options then? Having an option to auto enter yourself into every tourny when your online, you dont have to click this but for some peopl they need to open a new window then go to FP home page and go the long way round and i can see why they are asking as it saves time too.

But ya, good point; if users had the option of auto-entering then that would be grand. And they wouldn't have to leave it active the whole time; they could come in from work at 5:30, turn the option on, and then sit back and relax as they open the game window and be entered into the 6:00 speed tourney, and then turn the option off before they log off

I guess its an option and options never hurt......anyone who uses it is lazy as hell though, so i doubt it will be implemented

Say you log in at 17:09:56, tourny starts at 17:10:00 for arguments sake, then how on earth can you enter? if you already have auto enter on then thats good

in that crazy scenario yeah, but they should have logged in with time to spare or miss out imo

Say that their internet cut out and the failure was playing up, how about the scenario, or their pizza was burning in the oven they had to rescue it, all have happened before mike, what about the one where your so deep in conversation you forget?

Know what I'd love? If this were introduced, unannounced, as a one-off. Everyone who enters the tournament, great; then, right after entries close, enter everyone else who's online. Whether they be just browsing or have to have the game window, dunno and don't care at the moment. But the more the merrier, eh! But it would be interesting to see what would happen. Everyone would get the BOING!!!, including those who never knew about or never entered the tourney. You'd have players taking part that see it as a novelty and get creamed in Round 1... and you'd have players taking part that see it as a novelty and get creamed in Round 2 and onwards having received byes earlier on. Maybe best to do it to a speed tourney so there'd only be a few minutes between rounds. What say ye?

it would be a good idea, but even if you had the option, there would still be a higher rate of DQ's, something I think we should try to get down.
