Long time i'no

But ive got a problem and i havnt a clue what it is !
BUt i know FP Forums can always help me

Anyway, i was on the PC and had to go out so i lft the PC on...when i came home (3 hours later) my screen was black with a box moving around the screen saying 'Self Test Feature Check' and with 4 blocks underneath of different colour, thiers a white block that says 'white' a blue block which says 'blue' and 2 more with red and green.

Im not sure what it is, if its a test of my colour? Or could even be a virus which someone said.

But its been like this for 2 days now and i cant do NOTHING....i cant press any keys on the keyboard or clicking my mouse wont do nothing.

Even if i turn the power of my tower off, the screen still remains black with the 'Self Test Feature Check' on it. The only way to get rid of it is too turn off by the switches.

But would very apprechiate if someone could inform me what exactly this is and if i could stop it or how long it lasts for !!

Er, dude, sounds like your monitor cable isn't connected

Thats almost certainly a self test routine the monitor is running because it isn't recieving a signal from the computer.

Hopefully its just a dodgy connection, so double check that first
