Two questions for the powers that be.

1) Why was this evening's 20:00 UK 8 ball tourney a speed tourney? Plus, the URL isn't in the same order as the others; it was 24127 instead of 24103.
2) Did the server go down in the middle of the 21:00 tourney? It never got finished.

Nicks posts two from bottom I think has all the updates included. So I'm sure that has played a part in both your questions.
As for your second qustion, the server got restarted five minutes into the second round.

That's all I know, I don't know the actual reason behind the UK speed tournament but a rough guess is that it's due to the update of the widescreen version.

Yes, my understanding of it is that there were sufficiently serious problems with the game to make necessary a server restart during tournaments.

The mini golf games were not being cleared after they finished which would have eventually required a restart, hence I rescheduled the tournaments in the evening to allow a restart.

The new patch seemed to work OK but during the tournament a whole heap of errors came up requiring a further restart. It's the first time I had to cancel a tournament for a long time!

Sorry for the troubles.

The problem was caused by the code which changed room owner.

Everything seems back to normal now.

I see... Doesn't explain the speed tourney though?

Changing the UK tournament from a usual to a speed tournament enabled the restart. Going by that post anyway
