The problem is we haven't got people's previous tournament results stored, only the number of wins. Either we'd have to cancel existing tournament wins or have silly stats like 120 tournament wins and 2 quarter finals.

Hmm... Then how about having monthly tournament stats, at the end of each month they get re-freshed.

I must say I am against the idea of keeping a track of how many tourney quarters and semis you reach. First as Nick suggests if you implement this now people who have won lots of tourneys will be miffed. Two, the main incentive of entering tourneys is to win the thing; who cares if you drew 3 intermediates and manage to reach the semis. Plus, the people who enter the 4 am UK time tourneys will have better stats than most UK based players, as you pretty much get byes to the quarters anyway. The only thing I would say is that a strike rate of tourney wins (tourney wins/tourney entered) would be good.

Some points you make are good, but if we had a collective stat on tourny position it would be good, making semi finals is a great achievment...im not going by 4.am im going on all tournements on a day to day bases, sure youl get byes to the quarters or semi's thats good luck, i just think overall the collective stats you achive would be good, thanks for your opionion, good points
