I Know This Would Take Ages To Do But I Think Masse would be great pros are using masse and super spin in real life so i think it would be ace for us to be able to do it
If you dont know what masse is its were you hit the top of the ball and spin it round a ball e.g
getting out of a snooker like this is masse.

Im sorry, I have always been a valiant campaigner AGAINST jump and swerve shots...
To start, it requires a 3D game engine. This would considerably slow down and increase game loading.
Also, 2D pool is what I joined funkypool for...There are plenty of 3D pool games around, but I love it in 2D...
And, my argument that is being constantly used by me, is that it would make the game too easy...
Run-outs in all game types would become a thing of the past...In essence, funkypool would become a "Breaking game". If you have a break that guarentees a ball down, then a run out is inevitable...
A run-out is a true achievement, but they would be the most common events when people master Jump and Swerve.
People need to learn the game!! I have spent a year of my life mastering the current technique! I want other people to suffer too!
Personally, if they were, FP would be less appealing, and you would probably lose me...

Don't see a problem with the swerve shots at all, that wouldn't require a 3d game

You wouldn't need a 3D table, but you would need a 3D physics engine. The alternative would be a very coarse 2D emulation, but in either case you have a good bit of work implementing it, and not to mention a brilliant new source of bugs in an otherwise nearly bug free game.

As you'll see reading back, this is one of those features i think is best set aside for the time the userbase grows to make a simulation game type an option.
One of the great things about the funky games is the easy learning curve and simple gameplay, which encourages both new and casual players, and goes some way to putting everyone on a level playing field, so to speak.
