Just wandering, as the funkypool website is trying to keep the family aspect of the website, do you really think we should be having these types of ads on the sides?

Hi there,

Unfortunately, the adverts are not run by funkypool, they are run by third party companies that display adverts based on the keywords on the webpage.

Unfortunately this means that funkypool cannot be held responsible for the adverts.

You will probably find the adverts displayed by viewing this will be adverts for advertisement companies.

I dont know what I have done or anything, but I can't view any of the adverts!

I am using Safari web browser, so if you dont want to see em, then download that!

Whenever I click where an ad should be, it comes up with this:

"HTTP Error 404

404 Not Found

The Web server cannot find the file or script you asked for. Please check the URL to ensure that the path is correct.

Please contact the server's administrator if this problem persists."


Anybody know how I turned them off?

I get the same - looks like the adtech server is down.

For info, we do monitor the ads and those have been noted, but it takes some time for Nick to get in touch with the adservers and make the case for removing them.

Longer term members will know that ads have been disabled in the past for various reasons.

If you see anything unsuitable, just let a mod know and we will do our best!
