Im having trouble with funkypool, as my computer seems to shut off all the time, which includes abandoned games, losing ranked games and knocking out of tournaments. Its happened to me quite a lot in the last week, but im just trying to see if i get any help off the users of the game.
Please try and help me resolve this problem.
Ive tried reinstalling java and that, but it still dosent seem to work.

Oh my god what am i turning into...

OK, what bunrzybhoy said is a good start, if you get a text file appearing on your desktop named something like "HS Error Pad..." then its definitely a java problem.

I know you've been through the procedure of uninstalling/reinstalling java, but there must be something more causing problems.

Assuming you have tried a malware scan (Spybot search and destroy, and/or ad-aware are about the best free options) and all is clear, the next step would be a "deeper" cleanup.

I reccomend downloading CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com

Its very self explanitory, its just a utility for clearing out temporary files left behind by installations, internet cache's etc.

It can also scan your registry for "Issues", usually best thought of as broken/out of date links used by programs.

I would reccomend following the usual procedure for a java refresh, but running ccleaner as well, in this order :

- Go to control panel
- Add remove programs
- Remove all the java versions you see (there may be more than one).
- Run CCleaner and let it clear your old files, remember to back up the rigistry changes as it tells you
- Reboot (even if you're not told to)
- Then visit http://www.java.com for a new, clean, install.

Maybe it's a virus or malware? Try scanning with this:

http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe

It found 14 different malware files on my computer which Norton didnt pick up... -.-

Now it runs as fresh as a spring chick!

Maybe you need backdate your computer to last date is was working perfectly, then try not to download things you dont really need, involving music etc as many of these files contain viruses, also if you have norton download that if not and your on windows try and get windows security center and it should alert you to any viruses trying to get into your computer...

If all that fails then it could be a number of problems, you could have something plugged in which contains a virus (a usb device for example) or your motherboard may not be in very good working order or maybe theres a virus you cant remove, You may need to format your computer if this is the case and clear your hard drive of everything!
