I don't see why they should be reset - it's still the same system in regard to this.

Well... I just think it will look a bit wrong -
as an example:
Wins: 1 (100%)
Losses: 0 (0%)
Turn Success: 111 of 149
Safeties: 42 of 118
all in one game?

I agree Josh, this may confuse new players who want to play killer for the first time.

I agree with that as well. It will look odd.
But if i had built up good killer stats id be vexed

However we've also been running this new system for 24 hours now.... I don't really want to reset the ranking scores as well.

fair enough, as I'm sure it is getting a little tedious for players who have built up their rank.
it won't be noticeable after a fair few games have been played, I'm sure.

I just won a 10 player game of killer and only got + 4.2 points, surely if you win a 10 player game you deserve more than that, everyone in the game lost nearly 2 points and all i got was 4.2 lol

Here it is:
RANKINGS: ab_rfc 749.9 (+4.2), toolgirl 649.5 (-1.3), mondeost1 673.2 (-1.5), timmo 669.1 (-1.5), manu1_fan 688.6 (-1.7), popemutt 673.5 (-1.5), karate2k6 666.2 (-1.4), roberts123 6...
They're all newbies I would guess, and you no longer are. Had you have lost you'd only have lost a fraction as well. We'll see a few odd results like this as most players are newbies currently.

Yep, newbie status + the fact that there is a quite significant rank different between you and those you played against.

I didn't look at their ranks before the game started, would've made no difference anyway, there was some very good potters there and I still had to beat 9 players no matter what rank they were, I just thought 4.2 was a bit low for a 10 player game.

Sounds a bit low, I've been typically seeing 8-12 on ten player wins, then again that was while having similar rank to those I played against.
Then again it doesn't really matter. If rank weightings are too hard or too low, all it really affects is how volatile the system is (how easy or slow it is to get up (AND down) the ladder). The balance is all the same regardless.

Just noticed an interesting pattern.... the net rank loss in any given game seems to be consistantly larger than the net gain in the same game (in short the total points lost by the losers adds up to more than the total points gained by the winner). Quite a lot too.
I assume a lot of that stems from the fact that most players are still rated newbies and thus awards less points to the winner yet still lose rank themselves all the same, but might be worth while to have a closer look at it anyways...
I must certainly - in time - be the idea for this ranking system to net a slight gain for each game like is the case for the other games - to balance out the daily reductions.
