Was a little concerned he wouldnt be appreciated by the people who are there mainly to see bands but he got a great reception and put on a great performance.

Glastonbury has certainly never seen anything like that before!

and so did Neil Diamond.......the verve as always are good but a rapper as a headliner? No! Glasto is for proper music.
Rap and dance etc belong in the sidelines at festivals like that.

Well ive just been watching interviews with people that were there and the majority loved the performance but i would probably be dissapointed myself if i paid all the money to go to glasto and ended up with a rapper instead of oasis! haha

I love how he opened with wonderwall. I thought it was a good set.....not his best but he wasn't performing to his usual crowd.
I think he deserves praise for challenging the boundaries of a festival. Dizzee rascal performed this year as well and wiley came on stage with a band to do a cover of wearing my rolex. I think its good to see hip hop and rock n roll at the same festival! If there is a similar line up next year ill probably buy a ticket.
I liked the amy winehouse bit of jay z's performance as well lmao.

I would be very dissapointed if i payed that much for a ticket and ended up with Jay-Z and Neil Diamond. I just dont think that Glasto's they're type of venue.

The T in the Park line up for this years looking kinda thin this year aswell.

But you would buy the ticket after the headliners were announced no? i dont know a great deal about festivals but id imagine you dont buy until you know whos playing the gig.....so you wouldnt be disappointed (if im right)

I dont care what anyone says- its not like he just came out and rapped. he had guitars and drums etc and he worked the crowd in his own way. People are too quick to criticize what they are not used too. I think next years Glasto should be headlined one day by eminem and see if he gets the same reception.......

No not really mike.

I personally dont know how Glasto work so maybe this isnt relevant to it.

But the T in the park tickets come out the day after come out the day after the years festival.

so for example next years tickets come out after this years fetival. so you dont actually know who's playin when you buy your tickets.

As for Eminem he's about 20 stone now and addicted to sleepin tablets.

In my view, that show of his was a complete joke.
Singing to a backing track is not allowed at Glastonbury.

With relation to da-chumps remark on Neil Diamond Playing.......firstly hes a legend and he deserves to be there as he plays a lot of upbeat proper music and correct me if im wrong, but isnt Sunday Generally the 'oldies day'?
J-ZEEEEEEEE....(sounds like a rough toilet paper they used in the army lol) does n0t and never will play proper music, if anything he shouild have been sidelined to a lesser stage and still not been the main one on that one
