I have searched the forum, but it doesn't look like it's been suggested before.
How about being able to message more than one person in a pm conversation?
At present, the only way of having a private conversation with more than one person is to create a private game and invite them to the game as watchers.
What do you think?

Would definitely be nice for game hosting purposes, but other uses as well I'm sure.
The same goes for private messaging on the web site as well (which mad mike suggested not long ago). Guess that's a bit more hassle to implement tho, since Nick chose to upgrade the number of single-user messages instead.

Theres always an 'empty room' (funky blues or garage) when i log on, perhaps use one of those.
Is there really any harm in creating a room and inviting anyway?

I'm with Paula, it's just as simple to create a private room and invite x amount of people in as viewers.

Read that again Paula, he means more than one person in PM while they are in a game.
I think that's all it could be used for effectively.

I agree that it would be useful for friends if they were in different games etc.
But if it was to do with Clans or Tournaments they have use of the forum along with chat rooms and private game rooms.
Could prove more useful though.

that is exactly what he means- when your in tourny or even ranked/friednlys and everyone cant be in the same room it would be a brill addition......
In this case it was requested because nax wanted to have a updater meeting for his site and there were 4 or 5 people needed and half were in games....

It was suggested for the reasons mentioned in the above posts. For players who are in games, creating a new game isn't possible, a pm however, would be
Indeed competitions could use forums, but it is a waste of space and anyone can see it, whereas PM's are private. For example, in my league, I may discuss features which I am still working on to my updaters. I may not want the whole of funkypool knowing what it is i'm doing.
