I'm fed up with scanning the whole of the 'waiting' games without seeing what rank the player in the room is! I mean don't get me wrong, we were all newbie's once but is there a way of putting the players current rank on the screen before the game is entered? Comments welcome...

Yup, doing that only annoys players that you don't want to play.

This is the oldest running topic on the forums, and several solutions have been suggested.

Rather than link to the dozens of threads (you can easily search for them) a quick summary of the more popular and workable ideas:

* Display rank of person in room on selection screen (note difference from room "owner")

* Drop down to limit rooms shown to those containing players of rank 700-750, 750-800 and so on.

* Ability to limit rooms shown to those contaning players within +/- 50 (for example) points of your own rank.

* Ability to create a room and then invite a random player of similar rank to yourself.

* As above but show list of players to choose from.


There are many many more, but the initial one, displaying rank of person in room, is certainly the most unobtrusive.

However, as the member numbers continue to grow, a filtering system may prove best in the long run.
