how about this for pool
http://www.funkysnooker.com/viewTopic.do?topicid=3770

Just a little thought...

I was thinking it would be a pretty neat addition to enable you to have a 'full screen mode' whereby you are able to zoom right in on the table (making it fill the screen).

You could also have the option to completely minimize the chat area, but have the PM notification sound to alert you to any new chat.

I can't see this being overly difficult to implement, and I don't think it has been mentioned before.

Let me know what you think.

personally I think this is a fab idea!

great idea

Then again, before discussing a full screen mode is really any meaningful, the graphic resolution for all three games, particularly 8 UK, need to be drastically improved. The resolution scales rather badly as it is.

nowt wrong with it...if u want to make it bigger then drag it bigger, lose resolution though.

If it aint broke then why try and fix it is what i say

There's one problem with this - could widescreen laptop users (myself) be able to zoom in closer, due to the dimensions of the screen? Closer = more pixels = more shot opportunities = easier.

You can get it pretty much full screen by maximising the window and pressing F11 Works well for me

That's new to me!

basically that's what I mean, but focusing more on the table than the chat area, by having the option to minimize it.

On snooker, I was thinking more along the lines of the original users, or those with small screens and smaller resolutions.

EDIT: F11 doesnt work on snooker!

It would clearly have to be - this is just a suggestion for those who'd like to use it.

Here's a different but related idea too: How about letting people read and type in the normal chat rooms while playing? Either in addition to seeing the game room, or as a replacement... Would clearly also have to be optional and probably a good bit of hazzle to implement.

i never said making it bigger fixes it, i mearly meant the size it comes as standard is fine, hence the saying if it aint broke, was put after 'get used too it' rather than after 'can make it bigger'
